Challenges faced in the development of new technology
A photograph of factory workers
Colin Powell once said, ‘A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. Having this technology involved a very rough and bumpy journey in order to be successful. There were many changes and difficulties faced for everyone. Numerous people in society became rich and wealthy whilst the new technology caused hassles for little businesses. Home businesses were forced to shut down and owners had no choice but to find jobs in order to support their families. For factory workers, it took two weeks of time and money to purchase a vacuum that was $25 and decades worth of money to buy a car for $3000. Air was polluted by the factories, which damaged the environment and had a major impact. Also, the overcrowded cities created health issues for the workers, women and children living in poverty. Getting to the level of having this advanced technology didn’t come as easily as snapping your fingers. A lot of sacrifices had been made, for the world to be at the stage that they are at now with technology.
